Sagnarigu, Nothern Region

Alhaji A. B A. Fuseini, the incumbent Member of Parliament for Sagnarigu Constituency has lost his bid to represent the area as a Parliamentary Candidate on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 elections.

This was after he polled 333 votes against the winner, Mr Atta Issah's 801 votes during Saturday's Parliamentary Primaries of the NDC in the constituency.

Gari, Upper East Region

Mr Albert Akuka Alalzuuga, incumbent MP for Garu Constituency has lost the primaries to Dr Thomas Winsum Anaba who polled 250 votes as against his 160.

Mr Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, General Secretary of, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has arrived at the DeYoungsters School at Adentan in the Adentan Constituency to observe the ongoing primaries.

The NDC chief scribe said he was, so far, impressed with the success of ongoing primaries nationwide.

Voting has come to an end at the Ledzokuku constituency.

Voting ended at exactly 4:00 pm; sorting of ballot papers was ongoing.

A heavy downpour has disrupted voting in Asawase and other constituencies in the Kumasi Metropolis.

 

Ningo Prampram, Greater Accra

Voting has come to an abrupt end in Ningo-Prampram as Mr. Michael Kwetey Nartey, an aspirant in the primaries, insists 16 delegates cleared by a Tema High The Police have taken over the inner perimeter of the voting area to protect ballots already cast.

 

Ablekuma West, Greater Accra

The majority of delegates are in queue awaiting their turn patiently to cast their ballots in the Ablekuma West Constituency.

A total of 809 delegates have cast their ballots, with minutes to the close of voting.

 

NDC Headquarters, Accra

Mr. Edward Doe Adjaho, the former Speaker of Parliament, has voted at the NDC headquarters in Adabraka as part of the party's Special Voting group.

Also, NDC party officers on special duties, members of the Council of Elders of the party, and diaspora delegates are taking part in this special Voting exercise. It is expected that about 116 delegates would cast their votes at this polling unit.

Mr. Albert Akuka Alalzuuga, the MP for Gar Constituency, has called on delegates and people of the area to ensure peace during elections and a swift reconciliation after a winner has been declared. The MP is contesting in the primaries with two others.
