On the 19th of May 2023, the leadership of the TTU SRC Parliament led by the Rt Hon. Annabel Nubuake changed the TTU General Assembly (G.A) to parliamentary counsel, which is a recognized milestone in the TTU's history.

Rt. Hon Annabel Nubuake (TTU SRC Speaker )

According to reports, the Takoradi Technical University SRC General Assembly has been petitioned on multiple times to become a Parliamentary counsel. We can all agree that this is a significant event in the history of the whole Takoradi Technical University population.

Rt Hon Annabel Nubuake is just the second female speaker of parliament in the history of this historic occasion. This occasion took place yesterday at the TTU auditorium, which was guessed by the MP for the Essikado-Keten Constituency, Hon. Joe Ghartey, the Dean of Students Affairs Dr. Eric Bruce-Armartey Jnr, and ultimately the Speaker of Parliament for the University of Cape Coast.

During the inauguration of TTU's first parliamentary counsel, the house was divided into three Caucuses: The Appointed Caucus, the JCR Caucus, and the Faculty Caucus, each of which is led by Hon Victor Agbenafa Gordon, Hon Crispin Mwinekuma Borweh, and Hon Daniel Adombilla Adongo. As indicated, these leaders will lead their caucus in House discussions.

Because of the daring action made by the Speaker, Rt. Hon Annabel Nubuake, we, too, as TTU students, could stand before our counterparts in the Traditional Universities and brag about having a well-functioning Parliamentary counsel.

Long live the Speaker of Parliament, long live her counsel, long live the SRC TTU, and long live all Great Takoradi Technical University students. God bless us all and make us great and strong.
